  • About Ren

A fine artist and art tutor my practice concentrates in exploratory drawing research, printmaking and writing.

Through drawing practice themes and concepts emerge and a contemplatative process of dialogue in image and poetical form evolves.  I am interested in the relationship between image and language; how imagery informs material constructs and reflective thought.

A significant part of  my drawing enquiry explores ideas using Stone Lithography. This 200 year old printmaking technique involves drawing on limestone which is then chemically processed and from which an image can then be printed.

A member of Edinburgh Printmakers I regularly show and sell my prints in EP exhibitions and the gallery shop. My work is shown in Scotland and Internationally.

My print 'A Present' commissioned by Edinburgh Printmakers

for their 50th Anniversary Exhibition 'Paper To Gold' 2017, was shown by EP at Impact10 Print Biennale, Santander, Spain, 2018. This edition is on sale at my studio and at
